The San Ysidro Branch Library is located at the International Gateway Center on the border of San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. The 25,000 square foot second story location provides south facing views of the Tijuana hills and evening cityscape. Important features of the library incorporate community needs such as the Business and Career Center, the Teen Center, the Basic Literacy Center and the Cultural Awareness Area.
The architecture incorporates the traditional Southwestern architecture of the area. Interior features include varied seating choices from lounge to carrel, multimedia area with video viewing, as well as an up-to-date computer access networking the City's libraries.
