The station will include two, fifteen foot wide by approximately 700-foot long concrete commuter platforms on either side of the railroad track. Other ancillary uses include weather shelters, ticketing machines, parking, a public address system and a historical interpretive element of the history and use of the site, which, will be subject to the review and approval of the Cultural Heritage Board.
The overall structure will be constructed from steel in a modern contemporary design. The bridge will be a steel structure painted in "thermal orange" with a steel elevator rail structure painted "junction yellow". The roof for the bridge and shelter structures will be a metal seam roof constructed of weathering copper. The proposed historical interpretative element will be located on the southerly bridge entry and will consist of an "Arlington Station" silkscreened image graphic approximately 9.5' x 5' on clear plexiglasss mounted on the bridge structure. Directly adjacent to the southerly bridge entry will be concrete sandblasted walls with an old Arlington Station Historical Marker Plaque.
